A bill for an act relating to and making appropriations to the education system, including the funding and operation of the department for the blind, DE, state board of regents, and department of workforce development. 

This bill makes the House's proposed FY 2027 GF appropriations for the DOE, the DOB and the Regents. Some key appropriations include:  Community College State General Aid: $247,008,533 this is a 1.5% increase.  Workforce Training and Economic Development Fund: $15,100,000. This is the same as last year.  ACE Infrastructure: $6,000,000 and name changed to the Workforce Infrastructure Fund.  Future Ready Iowa Last Dollar Scholarship Program: $23,927,005. This is the same as last year. Vocational-tech Grant: increases the appropriation to $1,863,099 and extends eligibility to students enrolled in a barbering and cosmetology arts and sciences program.  Career Training Physical Expansion Program: appropriates $9,500,000 for purposes outlined in the Iowa Skilled Workforce Act. The bill also has a couple of additional policy bills from earlier in session, including the core curricula requirements bill (HF 2361) which requires the regent institutions to include a survey course on American History and American Government in their general education requirements.
